Code of Ethics

Zion Theological Seminary holds all faculty, instructors, and ministry leaders to the following standards of personal integrity, professional conduct, and spiritual accountability.

Integrity Before God

All teachers and leaders are called to live with sincerity, transparency, and integrity before God and others. Private life and public ministry must reflect the same standard of holiness and truth.

Faithfulness to Scripture

We commit to uphold the Holy Scriptures (66 books of the Bible) as the final authority in all teaching and leadership. No doctrine, interpretation, or practice may contradict the truth of God's Word.

Servanthood and Humility

Leaders and teachers are called to serve, not to dominate. Ministry must be exercised with humility, recognizing that all authority is entrusted by God for the edification of His people.

No Commercialization of the Gospel

We affirm that the Word of God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are free gifts of grace and must never be used for personal financial gain, manipulation, or exploitation. Teaching and ministry are acts of service, not commerce.

Love, Respect, and Restoration

All correction, instruction, and leadership must be carried out in love, gentleness, and respect. We are called to restore, not to condemn; to build up, not to destroy; and to reflect the character of Christ in all interactions.

Ethical Use of Authority

Authority must never be used for control, personal ambition, or self-exaltation. Leaders are stewards, not owners, and must exercise authority with accountability and responsibility.

Teachers and leaders are not only to teach the Word but to live it. We reject hypocrisy and affirm that true leadership is demonstrated through obedience, consistency, and transformed living.

We are called to defend the truth of the Gospel with wisdom, gentleness, and respect, following the example of the apostles. Truth must never be separated from love.

Spiritual Readiness and Watchfulness

Leaders are called to live in continual readiness, as if Christ could return at any moment. This posture demands faithfulness, purity, and perseverance in all responsibilities.

All teachers and leaders are accountable to God and to one another. We commit to transparency, correction, and unity within the body of Christ, avoiding isolation and hidden conduct.

We recognize that teaching and leadership are a sacred calling. Therefore, we commit to serve with dedication, sacrifice, and reverence, always seeking the glory of God above all else.
